  • ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

    Our Engagement Manager will play a significant role in shaping the strategy and growth of the firm. This individual should have experience working at a blue-chip strategy consulting firm with prior experience in commercial diligence / strategic due diligence assignments, experience with quick-time frames (2 to 4-week projects), and growth strategy-oriented projects. This individual will be involved in project execution/management, creative problem solving, engagement scoping / proposal writing, internal and external stakeholder management, as well as contributing to overall firm building initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    •Generate impactful insights on projects through rigorous data analysis and research

    •Manage, mentor, and develop Associate team

    •Play a part in recruiting, planning, business development, marketing operations, and more

    •Experience writing business proposals / scopes

    •Managing team through leadership and mentorship

    •Solving analytical challenges and identifying critical client issues

    Qualifications:

    •3-5 years of experience with a strategy consulting firm

    •MBA preferred, but not required

    •Effective client presentation skills and ability to work towards being a liaise with clients

    •Ability to generate impactful insights on projects through rigorous data analysis and research

    •Pay will be commensurate with experience

    •Must be willing to be based in Boston

  • SENIOR ASSOCIATE

    We’re looking for an experienced Senior Associate who’s passionate about raising the bar on what is possible and focused on doing what it takes to help our clients succeed. Senior Associates work closely with client project teams to create significant impact and end-result. At STEER, we thrive on critical thinkers and strong communicators who thrive in a challenging face-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:
    •Comfort with analytical and pragmatic approaches to solving business issues
    •Execution of primary and secondary research to analyze niche industry segments
    •Participate in case/project planning and insight generation
    •Developing and designing primary research/analyzing secondary sources

    Skills:
    •Ability to think strategically
    •Proficient with pivot tables, market modeling, statistical analysis
    •Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills
    •Experience drafting reports/presentations
    •Strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness
    •Team player

  • ASSOCIATE

    STEER is looking to grow our team of talented consultants. We are seeking individuals with a hunger for learning and the desire to tackle the most challenging issues businesses face today. As an Associate, you’ll be a critical member of our project team helping to address our clients’ key initiatives and develop attainable solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    •Comfort with analytical and pragmatic approaches to solving business issues

    •Execution of primary and secondary research to analyze niche industry segments

    •Participate in case/project planning and insight generation

    •Developing and designing primary research

    •Familiarity with researching secondary sources, analyst reports, industry and government sources of data, etc.

    •Familiarity with MS Office - Excel analysis and PowerPoint

    Skills:

    •Ability to think strategically

    •Proficient with pivot tables, market modeling, statistical analysis

    •Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills

    •Experience drafting reports/presentations

    •Strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness

    •Team player
